During Intake our matchmaking experts conduct in-person Client assessments and interviews to ascertain what type of partner and relationship dynamic will be most compatible for the Client. We learn from your personal history – your likes, dislikes, and what has and hasn’t worked for you in past relationships – as well as what is best for you. We get to know each individual on a very personal level.
We develop Client-approved Benchmarks, which outline the Client’s preferences and deal breakers. Benchmark phase includes exploring as many as 110 key personal, professional, and social indicators. The purpose of the Benchmarks is to focus the scope of the search, but not to constrain it. As relationship experts, our matchmakers are trained to identify the potential compatibility of a couple beyond the obvious indicators. These Benchmarks are a “living document” and will evolve as the search process continues.
The Matchmakers and Candidate relations experts conduct personal interviews to screen, and carefully examine each match. During Vetting, Candidates undergo the same comprehensive assessment that our Clients do, and are only selected if they have maximum compatibility. This Vetting process also allows matchmakers to evaluate factors like personality, values, emotional availability, body language, and physical appearance that would be lost in an online experience.
The matchmaker puts together a comprehensive presentation of Candidate information for the Client. The presentation details pertinent facts about the Candidate, along with recent photos. With this intelligence, the Client can make an informed decision whether to pursue the match or continue the search. This screening process is customized for each Client, and will include necessary inquiries to ascertain important information relevant to the Client’s search.
The Client and Candidate are introduced for a date. We only introduce our Clients to must-meet candidates who we believe might be “the one.” This is perhaps the most exciting phase, when Client and Candidate meet in person. A date provides a venue for each individual to develop a comprehensive idea of chemistry, personality, and lifestyle, as well as gauge physical attraction.
After the Date, both the Client and the Candidate independently consult with their matchmaker. This is the Feedback phase. The matchmaker encourages each party to discuss how the date went, and asks how they would like to proceed. This phase is especially helpful for both the Client and the Candidate. As an objective third party, the matchmaker adds value to developing the right relationships. Frequently, Clients and Candidates learn a lot about each other and themselves during this phase.
